Traveling again–a change in venue!

as the Covid restrictions seem to ease in certain places in the world we’ve decided to be brave and begin travelling again. Travelling again means preparing for a change in venue, something we haven’t done in three years. We’ve had all the vaccinations, all FOUR shots, plus the flu vaccination. Life in the time of Covid-19, a change is gonna come; The world is changing.  Hell, the world has already been marked by quite a few significant shanges!  I started to write this post back in September of 2021. The loneliest places during Covid-19

The loneliest places during the pandemic are traveling carnivals waiting for permission to open, theatres, concert halls, and amusement parks. The theatres, concert halls are usually prepping for ‘festival season’ at this point in the calendar, actors, and musicians readying for the house to open. Will the stage manager be calling for ‘places, please‘ anytime soon? In many places around the world the theatres are still dark, and will remain so for some time. What to do now; We’re caught trying to maintain balance in the crashing waves of pandemic, supply chain disruption, new isolation rules, attempts to restart schools, less than carefully considered imperatives to ‘get back to work’ and natural disasters.  What’s a person to do?  What to do now!? A colleague positioning himself to re-enter the job force navigated the ATS gating to the point of first interview where he was asked; What have you done during lock-down?
